Camden Education Fund Announces $475,000 in Grants to 28 Local Nonprofits

CAMDEN – Local nonprofits that work with youth and focus on social-emotional learning, mental health, academics and community service will be recognized Wednesday at a meeting of the Camden Education Fund, which is making grants to each.

A total of $475,000 will be presented to 28 nonprofits under the CEF's Youth-Serving Organization competitive grant program.


“The receiving organizations offer a wide range of support to students, including mentoring, mental health support, opportunities in the arts, career exposure and summer enrichment,” according to the CEF's announcement.


“We’re excited to once again provide much-needed support for youth organizations that create vital opportunities for Camden students,” said CEF Chief Executive Officer Giana Campbell, who added that the work of the nonprofits is “all aimed at helping students navigate challenges and thrive.”

Organizations receiving grants, listed by amount, this year are:

$40,000 grants

  • First Timers Society

  • Free All Minds Academy

  • Rising Leaders Global

  • Social Responsibility Through Me

  • Symphony in C

  • The Neighborhood Center

  • The Work Group / New Jersey Youth Corps Camden

  • WHYY

  • Women of the Dream
